How would you describe yourself as a designer?
Maximalistic, bold in black and an organised chaos. I work a lot with personal stories and process them through my designs.
What drew you to fashion in the first place?
As a child, I always imagined a world where I could be whoever I wanted. Clothing became a way to express that.
I already told my mother at five years old: Mom, i will become a fashiondesigner one day!
What interests you about fashion beyond clothing?
How stories and emotions become part of everyday life. Fashion plays a subtle role in that. Even without thinking, it influences how we move through the day.
How would you describe your designs?
Layered, with a mix of materials and a clear visual language. Somewhere between structure and freedom.
Where does a project usually begin for you?
With a thought or a feeling. Something I’m going through or something that stays with me. From that, a story develops.
What role do materials play in your work?
A big one. I mainly work with deadstock and recycled fabrics. The material often shapes the design itself.
What is most important to you in your design process?
Keeping my mind open. Not holding on to what I already know. Experiencing new situations and growing through them.
Are there recurring themes in your work?
Personal stories, self-expression, emotions, growth. Also how we deal with pain and become comfortable with who we are.
What makes your work distinct?
The connection between concept and craftsmanship. And the focus on conscious material use from the beginning.
What inspires you outside of fashion?
Stories, experiences, relationships, emotions. And coffee.
What does your workspace look like right now?
Somewhere between chaos and structure. Fabric everywhere, ideas in progress, and a creative mess in the middle.
What would you never design?
A piece just to sell and just to be beautuful. There always has to be a story, a message, through material, use or cut.
Creating meaningful designs from existing materials that tell stories, capture life’s defining moments, and celebrate the freedom to be you.
