What does it mean, to be YOU?
Have you ever asked yourself what it means to be yourself? When are the moments when you truly feel like you?

How much of yourself do you hide to belong?
To be yourself can mean choosing visibility in a world that still rewards conformity.
TO BE YOURSELF explores the tension between protection and self-expression, and the pressure to become quieter, smaller or less visible in order to fit expectations.
The look turns that conflict into clothing: restriction meets movement, concealment meets colour, and protection meets expression.

GLITTER REFUSES TO DISAPPEAR
Why Glitter? Isn't that just cheap?
Glitter is more than decoration.
Within queer culture, performance and protest, it has become a symbol of visibility, celebration and resistance. It catches the light, demands attention and refuses to quietly disappear.

BUILT TO RESTRICT. DESIGNED TO TRANSFORM.
The tightly laced top represents pressure and restriction, while adjustable bandages become a layer of protection that can be changed by the wearer.
Circular seams wrap around the wide trousers like repeating cycles. Buckles at the hem allow their silhouette to shift between restriction and freedom.
A hooded scarf acts as armour while bringing colour back into the look. The bandaged headpiece partially covers the eye and mouth, referencing invisibility and imposed silence — while remaining adjustable, allowing that silence to be broken.
MATERIAL WITH A SECOND LIFE
The look was created using deadstock fabrics.
Black mesh and glittered knit contrast restraint with visibility, while double-face fabric forms the trousers. A vivid pleated knit brings movement and colour to the scarf.
The top’s bandages and gloves feature black glittery knitwear, while the body with the laceing stays simple in black mesh. The trousers, crafted from a doubleface. The bold Scarf draping is created from a bright, colorful knit fabric with a pleated effect to mimic the look of plissé
